Antique Painted Wine Jar

This is an incredibly special piece and I have to admit that I almost didn't let this one go! It's a total one off and has the most incedible colour and texture.
 
It has originally been used as a vessel to store wine (you can still smell that lovely grapey scent when you remove the cork)! and has been lovingly hand painted at some stage in it's previous life. 
 
There are wonderful rough patches around the vessel, adding to its charm. A very special piece indeed.
