19th Century Folk Bench
This beautiful folk bench is constructed entirely with tenon and mortar joints and dowels, with primitive stick legs. This particular piece is in incredible original condition and has the loveliest, rich wood colour which is calling out to be slathered in beeswax.
Things to note: The seat slopes down slightly on the right hand side, with a difference of 3cm from left seat to right seat height. This is not an issue however and not something that needs to be remedied. It has been like this for many, many years and is part of its aged charm.
This would make a wonderful hallway or boot room bench or kitchen table bench (see our Instagram feed for inspo!).
